Players will be able to formally query umpiring decisions in England's Test series against West Indies next winter.

The umpire decision review system - first trialled in India and Sri Lanka's recent series - allows a side up to three unsuccessful appeals per innings.

England's four-Test series against the Windies in early 2008 is one of four in which it will be further tested.

The decision was made by International Cricket Council (ICC) board members at their two-day meeting in Dubai.
